Purpose
1.  Strengthen knowledge about interior design as a profession
2.  To become more aware of the opportunities that interior design has to offer members as well as potential clients and what students can expect after graduation
3.  Our club’s purpose is to expand our thinking about design, in terms of service


Description
The Interior Design Student Council makes a comfortable and welcoming learning environment for beginning and continuing interior design students to understand the meaning and responsibility of interior design, and to prepare for real world projects and interactions. This club is to open up opportunities to members in order to network and collaborate with other students from different clubs/professions as well as companies within different communities.
Requirements
1.    Membership fee to help cover costs
2.    Participate in meetings, service and fundraising events

Roles and Responsibilities:
· Co-President (Spokane)
Lead meetings, delegates responsibility among members, facilitate campus events in Spokane. Maintains e-mail list of student members.
· Co-President (Pullman)
Lead meetings, delegates responsibility among members, facilitate campus events in Pullman. Maintains e-mail list of student members.
· Vice President (Spokane)
Helps delegate and follow through with events in Spokane, assist President in necessary tasks relating to club, helps in leading meetings in Spokane and serves as one of the representatives to CAHNRS Student Senate.
· Vice President (Pullman)
Helps delegate and follow through with events in Pullman, assist President in necessary tasks relating to club, helps in leading meetings in Pullman and serves as one of the representatives to CAHNRS Student Senate.
· Co-Secretary (Spokane)
Takes meeting minutes, e-mails minutes to all student members and faculty advisors as well as schedules meeting rooms, times and days.

· Treasurer (Spokane)
Organize and keep accounts, bi-annual report, collect dues in Spokane, all dealings with money for the organization.

· Fundraising Co-Chair (Spokane)
Organize fundraising events on Spokane campus, co-chair fundraising committee, coordinate with Pullman fundraising co-chair to contact I.P.s for raffle items.

Organize fundraising events on Pullman campus, co-chair fundraising committee, coordinate with Spokane fundraising co-chair to contact I.P.s for raffle items.
· Communications Co-Chair (Spokane)
Keep up current communication with members, post printed meeting notices, recruit new members and coordinate with the Pullman campus to facilitate communications between the two campuses.

· First Year Liaison
Recruit members from first year classes, notify first year students of events, attend various CAHNRS club meetings as well as other organization meetings to stay informed on possible opportunities for involvement and report back to IDSC.
· Second Year Liaison
Recruit members from second year classes, notify second year students of events, attend various CAHNRS club meetings as well as other organization meetings to stay informed on possible opportunities for involvement and report back to IDSC.



Note: This constitution is in effect for the 2011-2012 Academic year, with one local-group for students in Spokane, and one local-group for students in Pullman. The IDSC will operate as one main group with designated budgets for each local group.  Beginning in the 2012-2013 Academic year the Interior Design Student Council will be located on the Pullman campus, and will revise officer positions to reflect the single location. The leadership and budgets will be combined to the Pullman location.
